JSW Energy PSP Eleven Limited (JEPEL), a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has secured a ₹443.74 crore contract from Bondada Renewable Energy Private Limited. Under the agreement, JEPEL will supply Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Power Conversion System (PCS) solutions for a 200 MW / 400 MWh BESS project. Bondada Renewable Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bondada Engineering Limited.
Leveraging its 5 GWh annual capacity battery assembly facility in Pune, JEPEL’s new order strengthens JSW Energy's footprint in the energy storage market. This milestone aligns with India's growing demand for BESS technology to enhance grid stability, manage peak loads, and integrate renewable energy for round-the-clock power. Currently, JSW Energy holds a locked-in generation capacity of 32.1 GW (14.53 GW operational) and 29.6 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity. The company is actively working toward its 2030 targets of 30 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh storage capacity, alongside a 2050 carbon neutrality goal.
