Manipur Power Upgrade: ₹80Cr Turnkey Project Out for Tender

Manipur State Power Company Limited (MSPCL) has invited bids for the strengthening of 33 kV transmission lines across the state on a turnkey basis.

The project, with an estimated value of ₹79.78 crore, is being implemented under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI), aimed at upgrading power infrastructure and improving distribution reliability in Manipur.

The scope includes the upgrading and reinforcement of existing 33 kV transmission lines to ensure a stable and efficient power supply. Under the turnkey model, the selected contractor will be responsible for end-to-end execution, including design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning.

The initiative is expected to reduce transmission losses, enhance grid stability, and support rising electricity demand across both urban and rural areas. It also aligns with broader efforts to modernise power infrastructure in northeastern India and strengthen state-level energy systems, contributing to improved power availability and socio-economic development in Manipur.

The last date for bid submission is May 20, 2026.
