Paradip Goes Green: New Hydrogen Partnership with NTPC

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Paradip Port Authority to explore green hydrogen initiatives.

The agreement, formalised on 27 October 2025 during India Maritime Week in Mumbai, aims to develop and implement green hydrogen-based mobility solutions within the Paradip Port area. The collaboration will also evaluate opportunities to establish additional green hydrogen and derivative projects in the region.

This partnership reinforces NTPC’s commitment to advancing India’s clean energy transition and promoting sustainable port operations. In a separate development, NTPC Green Energy has commenced the commercial operation of 9.9 MW from its 92.4 MW wind power project in Bhuj, Gujarat.
