PGCIL Wins Critical Inter-State Green Energy Corridor Contract

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has been awarded a major inter-state transmission system (ISTS) project under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework. Operating on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis, the project will strengthen renewable energy evacuation and power transfer efficiency across southern India.

The project scope features the construction of two new 765/400kV substations in Andhra Pradesh, alongside extensive 765kV and 400kV transmission lines traversing Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. Additional infrastructure includes the integration of associated bays into existing regional networks. This initiative marks a significant step forward in bolstering national grid reliability and supporting India's large-scale clean energy expansion.
