India’s clean energy infrastructure hit a new milestone on June 21, 2026, as Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) commissioned a key transmission project in the Khavda region of Gujarat. Part of the Phase IV (7 GW) – Part E4 expansion, the system is engineered to evacuate up to 7 GW of electricity from the massive Khavda renewable energy zone. The project significantly boosts grid reliability and strengthens Gujarat's network to seamlessly funnel clean power into the national grid.
