Sahaj Solar is expanding its clean energy footprint by establishing a cutting-edge battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility in Gujarat. Backed by an estimated investment of Rs 250 billion, the upcoming plant will feature an annual production capacity of 1.8 GWh to cater to the escalating global and domestic demand for advanced energy storage solutions.
Slated for commissioning within 12 months, the facility will play a critical role in enhancing grid reliability and seamlessly integrating renewable energy sources. This strategic venture will bolster Sahaj Solar's vertical integration by combining its established photovoltaic manufacturing capabilities with state-of-the-art battery production. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Ahmedabad, Sahaj Solar currently operates a 100 MW mono- and poly-crystalline solar module facility in Bavla, with ongoing capacity expansions underway in Dakor.
