Vikram Solar: Powering Tomorrow with Solid-State Revolution

Vikram Solar, a leading solar photovoltaic module manufacturer, is set to establish a fully integrated 1 GWh solid-state cell and battery manufacturing facility, with plans to scale up to 5 GWh.

The facility will incorporate proprietary battery management system (BMS) technology to address the rising global energy demand. "Our solid-state batteries, developed with predominantly India-made components, support ‘Atmanirbharta’ and align with India’s renewable energy and climate goals," said Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikram Solar.

The company will leverage advanced technology from its partner, Entity2 Energy Storage, which holds multiple patents in non-lithium solid-state battery technologies. These scalable batteries will cater to diverse industrial energy needs.

With this new initiative, Vikram Solar aims to strengthen India’s domestic battery manufacturing capabilities, supporting the country’s transition to sustainable energy solutions.
