The West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) has floated a tender under Substation and Transmission Line Package-C9, aimed at strengthening the state's power infrastructure through significant substation upgrades and capacity augmentation.
Scope of Work:
Upgradation of Barjora Substation (Bankura district):
Conversion of the existing 132/33 kV substation into a 220/132 kV GIS (Gas Insulated Substation) facility.
Upgradation of Ashokenagar Substation (North 24-Parganas):
Transformation of the 132/33 kV substation into a 220/132 kV GIS substation.
Transformer augmentation at Baruipur Substation:
Enhancement of the 220/132 kV GIS substation capacity from 2 x 160 MVA to 3 x 160 MVA, supporting 220/132/33 kV voltage levels.
Beledurganagar Substation Line Bay Construction:
Development of terminal arrangements for two 132 kV GIS line bays at the proposed Beledurganagar 132 kV Substation.
Project Timeline:
The project is to be completed within 24 months from the issuance of the Letter of Award (LoA).
Bid Submission Deadline:
Interested bidders must submit proposals by 23 September 2025.
