Aimtron Electronics has entered the railway signalling and train safety systems segment through a strategic partnership with an Indian technology provider.
This expansion forms part of Aimtron’s diversification strategy into regulated electronics manufacturing, targeting infrastructure-driven sectors. The company will focus on the manufacturing and system integration of signalling solutions for Indian Railways and urban transit networks, with the objective of enhancing rail safety. Railway signalling electronics require stringent qualification, certification, and regulatory compliance, underscoring the technical complexity of this segment.
Aimtron will undertake end-to-end responsibilities, including manufacturing, system integration, testing, and quality assurance of safety-critical signalling electronics, ensuring compliance with mandated safety and reliability standards for rail and metro infrastructure. The move aligns with India’s growing investment in railway infrastructure, which is projected to reach USD 15.9 billion by 2030, and supports national initiatives to improve rail safety, including the rollout of Automatic Train Protection systems such as Kavach.
