South Central Railway has invited bids for an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to build a new broad gauge (BG) railway line between Errupalem and Kothapalli Halt stations.
The proposed stretch, from km 3.525 to km 24.800, spans 21.275 km and forms part of the larger Errupalem–Namburu via Amaravati BG rail corridor in the Guntur Division of Andhra Pradesh. With an estimated cost of ₹415.69 crore, the project covers end-to-end EPC execution, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the rail infrastructure.
The new line is expected to strengthen regional rail connectivity and improve transport access along the Amaravati corridor. It is aligned with Indian Railways’ broader strategy to enhance capacity, reduce network congestion, and improve connectivity across key growth regions in southern India.
The deadline for bid submission is June 18, 2026.
