Bengaluru's Pink Line Extension Set for September Launch

A 7.5-km section of Bengaluru Metro’s Pink Line stretching from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere has completed its trial runs and is awaiting final safety and rolling stock clearances before opening to the public.

Karnataka Minister Krishna Byre Gowda recently inspected the corridor's progress between Jayadeva Station and Kalena Agrahara, urging officials to fast-track pending approvals to stick to the timeline. This new extension will significantly boost public transit options along Bannerghatta Road and adjacent localities. Pending clearance from central authorities, passenger operations on this corridor are targeted to kick off as early as September.
