Ranjit Buildcon Clinches ₹383.98 Crore UPMRC Metro Contract

Ranjit Buildcon has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for an infrastructure contract awarded by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) as part of the Lucknow Metro expansion project.

The contract involves the design and construction of an elevated metro viaduct connecting Thakurganj Metro Station to Vasantkunj Metro Station, along with the development of five elevated metro stations. The scope of work includes structural design, civil construction, and associated station infrastructure development.

The project forms part of the Blue Line (East–West Corridor) under Lucknow Metro Phase 1B, which is aimed at expanding the city’s urban transit network and improving commuter connectivity across key residential and commercial areas. The elevated corridor is expected to enhance last-mile connectivity, reduce traffic congestion, and support more efficient public transportation in densely populated parts of Lucknow.

Ranjit Buildcon secured the project with a bid value of approximately Rs 383.98 crore. The development marks an important step for the company in strengthening its presence in India’s urban transport infrastructure sector, particularly in metro rail and elevated corridor construction projects.
