Texmaco Rail & Engineering is establishing a comprehensive, end-to-end rail platform spanning design, manufacturing, financing, lifecycle engineering, and asset management. To support this initiative, the company plans to invest approximately ₹1,800 crore over the next three to five years to acquire 100 new rakes, significantly expanding its leasing and design capabilities.
As part of this expansion, Texmaco has widened its joint venture, Touax Texmaco Railcar Leasing, by partnering with Dallas-based TrinityRail Global alongside existing partner Paris-based Touax Group. Under the restructured JV, Texmaco and Touax will each hold a 34% stake, with TrinityRail acquiring the remaining 32%. By combining international expertise in railcar manufacturing, technology, and asset leasing, the venture aims to deploy advanced rolling stock, boost asset utilization, lower maintenance overheads, and streamline production cycles.
