Designed to support Delhi's evolution under the 'Viksit Bharat' vision, the Master Plan Delhi 2047 establishes a strategic framework for the capital's next phase of urban expansion. Union Minister Manohar Lal noted that managing a projected population of 3.2 crore will require 30 to 40 lakh additional housing units. To achieve this sustainably, the plan prioritizes infrastructure-first development, mixed-use integrated communities, and efficient land-use strategies such as transit-oriented development and land pooling.
