Shadipur Redevelopment: DTC Submits Plan for 427 New Homes

The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has revived its long-pending Shadipur staff housing redevelopment project by submitting the layout plan to the Delhi Urban Art Commission (DUAC) for approval.

Part of DTC’s broader land monetisation strategy—alongside a similar project in Hari Nagar—the initiative had been delayed due to the absence of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s Standing Committee for over 30 months.

According to the detailed project report, the redevelopment will include five high-rise towers: one comprising ground plus 30 floors of four-BHK units, and four towers with ground plus 29 floors featuring two- and three-BHK units. The project will deliver a total of 427 residential flats, along with 228 EWS units, in accordance with Delhi Master Plan 2021 norms.

Spanning 6.898 acres, the development will also feature two basement parking levels per tower, a separate parking block, a school, clubhouse, and commercial facilities. The estimated project cost stands at Rs 446.28 crore.
