Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda has announced the launch of white-topping work on a 17-km stretch of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) between Silk Board Junction and KR Puram, starting this October. Backed by a ₹450 crore state government allocation, the project aims to enhance road durability and ease mobility on a major traffic corridor. Authorities will coordinate with police and the Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA) to manage traffic, utilize internal diversion routes, clear encroachments, and relocate transformers to ensure smoother transit and pedestrian safety.
