The National Highways Authority of India has invited bids for the development of a four-lane highway connecting Badvel to Nellore in Andhra Pradesh under the build-operate-transfer (Toll) model.
The proposed corridor will extend from Badvel Gopavaram village on National Highway 67 (Chainage 630.960) to Guruvindapudi village on National Highway 16 (Chainage 739.094), covering a total length of 108.134 km. The project is estimated to cost ₹3,352.83 crore.
The highway development is aimed at improving connectivity between inland and coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh, enabling smoother movement of freight and passengers while supporting regional economic activity. Under the BOT (Toll) model, the selected concessionaire will be responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the highway.
The proposed corridor is expected to strengthen links with major national highway networks and improve access to industrial, agricultural, and port-connected regions, particularly around Nellore.
The last date for submission of bids has been fixed as 06 July 2026.
