Groundwork Begins on Bhubaneswar’s New Elevated Corridor

Groundwork has officially begun on Bhubaneswar's much-anticipated 9.5-km Jayadev Vihar-Nandankanan elevated corridor. Engineers are currently conducting rigorous soil testing and load-bearing assessments across key locations, including Kalinga Stadium, to evaluate ground stability. As the Works Department prepares for utility shifting and seeks National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) approvals, this major initiative—approved by the Odisha Cabinet in July 2026—brings the state one step closer to transforming regional transit and smoothing out the heavy commute between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
