Borana Weaves Ltd, a leading manufacturer of synthetic greige fabric in India, has achieved significant operational milestones with the commissioning of a 3.545 MW rooftop solar power project and the full operationalization of 160 high-speed water jet looms at its Unit 4B facility.
The rooftop solar installation, now fully functional across its manufacturing units, is expected to reduce dependence on conventional energy sources, lower power costs, and enhance operating margins. This transition to renewable energy also underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability and long-term cost efficiency.
On the manufacturing front, the deployment of all 160 water jet looms marks a substantial capacity expansion. Previously, only 64 looms were operational. With the entire set now running at Unit 4B, the company expects improved production efficiency, higher output capacity, and stronger ability to meet growing market demand.
