Tata Power Solar Lights Up UP Homes with ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’

Tata Power Solar Rooftop has launched the ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ campaign in Uttar Pradesh to accelerate the adoption of rooftop solar solutions and expand access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy for residential consumers across the state.

Launched in Lucknow in partnership with Tata Power Battery Storage, the initiative offers an integrated solution combining rooftop solar systems, battery storage technology, and financing support under a single platform. The campaign is designed to help households manage rising electricity costs while promoting sustainable energy consumption through easy access to solar power.

As part of the programme, Tata Power Solar Rooftop aims to install three lakh residential rooftop solar systems across Uttar Pradesh over the next three years, contributing an estimated cumulative capacity of 1,000 MWp. The inclusion of battery storage solutions and streamlined financing options is expected to further enhance affordability and accessibility for homeowners.

Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing rooftop solar markets, driven by supportive government policies and increasing consumer interest in renewable energy. Residential consumers in the state can avail subsidies of up to Rs 1.08 lakh for rooftop solar systems of up to 3 kW through a combination of benefits under the PM Surya Ghar programme and state-level incentives.

Tata Power Solar Rooftop operates under Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), which continues to expand its efforts to promote clean energy adoption across the country.
