India's Solar Future Starts in Gujarat: Inox Opens 1.2 GW Plant

Inox Clean Energy, a subsidiary of Inox Solar and part of the INOXGFL Group, has commenced operations at its cutting-edge solar module manufacturing plant in Bavla, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Key Highlights:

Commissioned in just four months, Initial production capacity: 1.2 GW, Utilizes advanced N-type TOPCon technology

Compatible with high-efficiency M10, G12R, and G12 solar cells

Produces bifacial modules for dual-sided power generation, improving energy yield and capacity utilisation factor (CUF)

Fully automated manufacturing process

Strategic Expansion Plans:

Inox aims to scale up the Bavla facility to 3 GW and is concurrently developing a 4.8 GW integrated solar cell and module plant in Dhenkanal, Odisha.

These initiatives are part of Inox’s broader vision to:

Strengthen domestic solar manufacturing capacity, Reduce dependency on imports, Position India as a global leader in renewable energy supply chains

Inox Clean Energy also manages renewable IPP operations through Inox Neo Energies, further supporting India’s clean energy transition.

This expansion underscores Inox’s commitment to advancing solar technology and contributing to India’s renewable energy targets and net-zero ambitions.
