KPGEL Drives India's Green Transition with Goa Solar Project

KP Green Engineering Ltd. (KPGEL) has been awarded a Letter of Award (LoA) by Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd. (MAHAPREIT), a Government of Maharashtra enterprise, for the implementation of a 30 MW distributed grid-connected rooftop solar PV project in Goa.

The project will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model. As the L1 bidder (A1 category), KPGEL will develop an initial 5 MW of rooftop solar capacity across multiple government buildings in the state.

As the turnkey EPC contractor, KPGEL will manage the end-to-end project lifecycle—covering design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and a five-year operations and maintenance (O&M) service.

“This landmark win significantly strengthens our footprint in government solar infrastructure and reinforces our position as a trusted leader in India’s renewable energy landscape,” the company stated.

With over eight years of experience in rooftop solar and a portfolio exceeding 10.5 MW across commercial, industrial, and government sectors, KPGEL continues to support India’s transition to clean, sustainable energy solutions.
