Lighting Up a Greener Future: NTPC's 150 MW Gujarat Solar Project

NTPC Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, has achieved full commercial operation of its 150 MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) project in Gujarat. This milestone significantly enhances India’s renewable energy capacity and strengthens NTPC’s expanding clean energy portfolio.

The project was commissioned in three phases. The first 60 MW became operational on 29 July 2024, followed by 30 MW on 11 December 2024. The final 60 MW was declared commercially operational from 16 April 2025, as certified by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) on 30 April 2025.

With a total installed capacity of 150 MW, the Gujarat Solar PV project underscores NTPC’s commitment to accelerating India’s transition to sustainable energy.
