The Future is Wind: Adani's 2.5 GW Vision

Adani Wind, the wind energy division of Adani New Industries Ltd. (ANIL), aims to install 2.5 GW of wind power capacity in the current financial year—1.5 GW of which will be supplied to Adani Green Energy, with the remaining 1 GW targeted at other domestic renewable players.

Amid increasing interest from independent power producers (IPPs) and growing demand for its turbine technology, Adani Wind has expanded its annual manufacturing capacity from 1.5 GW to 2.25 GW. As part of its global strategy, the company acquired Germany-based Windnovation and established a research center in Rostock, enhancing its capability to develop advanced wind solutions for European markets.

Over the past five years, Adani Enterprises has invested approximately ₹2,000 crore to build a 5 GW renewable manufacturing base, positioning Adani Wind as a core driver of India’s green energy ambitions and a growing force in the international wind energy sector.
