Midland Contracting Secures ₹146 Crore Kozhikode Sewage Project

Midland Contracting has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a significant urban infrastructure project under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme, awarded by the Kerala Water Authority.

The contract encompasses the design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of a 27 million litres per day (MLD) capacity sewage treatment plant (STP) with co-treatment facilities at the Sarovaram Network within Kozhikode Corporation.

This initiative aims to modernize wastewater management infrastructure and elevate sanitation standards in Kozhikode. The co-treatment capability will allow the facility to treat both sewage and septage, improving treatment efficiency and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

AMRUT 2.0—the second phase of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation—focuses on enhancing water security, sewage treatment, and overall urban livability.

Midland Contracting’s winning bid of ₹146.39 crore reinforces its expertise in the water infrastructure sector. The project is expected to significantly contribute to cleaner waterways and sustainable urban development in Kozhikode.
