Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate a major urban development drive, laying the foundation for over 1,300 projects worth ₹769 crore across 33 districts. The initiative, led by the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCO) and Patna Smart City Ltd. (PSCL), focuses on road construction and repairs, drainage systems, park upgrades, and the installation of high-mast lights.
“This massive investment is set to improve urban infrastructure and enhance the overall quality of life for citizens,” said BUIDCO Managing Director Animesh Kumar Parasher.
Maurya Lok Complex Upgraded
Alongside the statewide launch, Patna’s iconic Maurya Lok Complex has been revitalized through a ₹15-crore upgrade, featuring:
‘Maurya Mandapam’ – a 12,000 sq. ft. pillar-free rooftop banquet hall, Two-screen multiplex, 80-seat fine dining restaurant, Gymnasium and yoga centre
The project also includes:
Renovation of the 6th and 7th floors of Maurya Tower into 24,000 sq. ft. of commercial space
Beautification of Swami Vivekananda Park
Constructed using eco-friendly light gauge steel technology, the revamped complex reflects the Bihar government’s broader commitment to inclusive urban development under its “development for all” vision.
