Odisha's ₹228 Cr Brutang Spillway Tender Opens!

The Water Resources Department (WRD) of Odisha has invited bids for the construction of the spillway for the Brutang Irrigation Project, located near Manjari village in the Dasapalla block of Nayagarh district.

The project, estimated at ₹228.32 crore, is to be completed within 30 months. The scope of work includes constructing the spillway and its associated components—drainage and inspection galleries, elevator, piers, abutments, and sluices. Mechanical works will cover the installation of gate systems, emergency gates, stop logs, and all supporting structures. The contract also requires preparation of the detailed project report (DPR), including hydrological analysis, component layout, design methodology, and detailed investigations, to be submitted for approval by the competent authority.

Additionally, the contractor must oversee the trial run and commissioning of the spillway and related works, as well as address any defects during a 60-month defect liability period following completion.

The deadline for bid submission is 19 January 2026.
