The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has invited tenders for the construction of flood protection structures under the Karnataka Water Security and Resilience Programme (KWSRP), a World Bank-supported initiative.
The scope of work includes constructing stormwater drain (SWD) protection structures, reinforced cement concrete (RCC) retaining walls, water retention structures, nature-based solution structures, bridges, and culverts. The project is divided into two packages:
- Package 1 (Yelahanka Zone - YNK Package-1): Covers 19 works, valued at ₹80.59 crore.
- Package 2 (Rajarajeshwari Nagar Zone): Estimated cost of ₹185.32 crore.
The completion timeline for both packages is 24 months, including the monsoon period. The bid submission deadline is April 15, 2025.
