Vascon Engineers has been awarded a significant contract worth ₹331.38 crore for the construction of a medical college and hospital in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra. The company received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Public Works, Regional Department, Konkan Mumbai, under the Department of Medical Education and Medicine.
The project involves the construction of a medical college with a capacity for 100 students, a 500-bed hospital, and an ancillary building. This comprehensive development will be executed on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) lumpsum basis, ensuring that Vascon Engineers will manage the entire project from start to finish.
With a completion timeline of 30 months from the receipt of the LoA, the project is set to bolster the healthcare infrastructure in Sindhudurg. The new facilities are expected to significantly enhance medical education and healthcare services in the region, providing a vital resource for the local community.
