RVNL-URC JV Poised to Build Metro Skyline in Indore

RVNL-URC JV has clinched a significant win in securing the bid for the construction of elevated Metro Rail Stations in Indore, a pivotal part of the Indore Metro Rail Project. This project entails the design and construction of an elevated viaduct linking five crucial stations - Shaheed Bagh, Khajrana Chauraha, Bengali Chauraha, Patrakar Colony, and Palasia Chauraha, along with the construction of a connecting ramp. Valued at Rs. 543 crore, the contract was awarded to RVNL-URC JV on December 11, 2023, positioning them as the lowest bidder (L1) among multiple competitors.

The joint venture comprises Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) holding a 51% stake and URC Construction Pvt Ltd. with a 49% stake. The scope of the project encompasses the comprehensive design and construction of the elevated viaduct, the five metro stations, and the specified ramp sections, with an anticipated completion timeframe of 1,092 days from the commencement date. This ambitious timeline points towards an estimated project completion by mid-2026.

Recognized for their competitive pricing and technical proficiency, RVNL-URC JV's selection underscores their capability in executing intricate railway infrastructure projects. As a crucial segment of the Indore Metro Rail Project, this initiative aims to enhance connectivity and bolster public transportation within the city, addressing the growing needs of commuters and urban development in Indore. This successful bid further solidifies RVNL's prominent position within India's railway infrastructure landscape.
