Healthcare Expansion: L&T's ₹2,400 Cr Venture with Apollo Hospitals

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction’s Buildings & Factories (B&F) vertical is poised to secure contracts worth approximately ₹2,400 crore for the construction of hospital buildings across multiple locations in India for Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, headquartered in Chennai.

These proposals will be presented for shareholder approval at L&T’s 80th Annual General Meeting on June 17. Contract durations will range from 1.5 to 3 years, depending on project-specific requirements. The contracts are expected to significantly enhance L&T’s presence in the healthcare infrastructure space and contribute to a more diversified revenue base.

L&T’s B&F vertical handles EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) for a wide range of building and industrial projects. In the healthcare sector, it offers comprehensive solutions including design, construction, procurement, installation, and commissioning of medical facilities and equipment. This initiative aligns with L&T’s strategic focus on high-growth sectors and reinforces its capabilities in delivering specialized infrastructure for India’s evolving healthcare needs.
