Western Railway Picks RVNL for $40 Cr S&T Maintenance.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for a ₹40.41 crore signalling and telecom (S&T) maintenance contract awarded by Western Railway.

The contract covers round-the-clock maintenance, repair, and upkeep of signalling and telecom equipment across various locations in the Ahmedabad Division. Spanning a period of 24 months, the fully domestic contract aims to ensure seamless railway operations, improved signalling reliability, and robust telecom infrastructure.

By deploying dedicated manpower throughout the contract duration, the project will support Western Railway in maintaining operational efficiency and enhancing passenger safety. The win also reinforces RVNL’s position as a strategic contributor to Indian Railways’ ongoing modernisation and infrastructure maintenance efforts.
