Dhar Construction has been awarded the contract as the lowest bidder (L1) for the improvement of a two-lane road with a paved shoulder along the Old NH-40, now re-designated as NH-206, in Meghalaya.
The project involves upgrading the stretch from km 37.550 to km 45.760 (design km 0.000 to km 7.760), which forms part of the Pynursla Bypass under Package-III. The work will be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis.
The company submitted a bid of Rs 176.44 crore for the project, which aims to enhance regional connectivity, improve travel efficiency, and reduce travel time through the bypass.
