KCC Buildcon has emerged as the lowest bidder for a major road upgradation project in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, according to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). The company’s bid of ₹529 crore has been approved for the EPC contract to upgrade the Patranga to Bahuvan Madar Majha stretch (Pkg-V) on the 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg.
The project involves the two-lane upgradation of a crucial segment of the 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg, a key route for both local and pilgrimage traffic. KCC Buildcon’s winning bid positions it to undertake extensive civil works, including roadbed construction, surfacing, and the installation of necessary infrastructure.
The financial bid was officially opened on 06 August 2024, and KCC Buildcon’s competitive offer was selected based on cost-effectiveness and project capability.
This development is part of a broader initiative to enhance road connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in regions significant for cultural and economic reasons. The successful completion of this project is expected to improve transport efficiency and support local development in the Ayodhya region.
