JSW Neo Energy, Juniper Green Energy, BrightNight, and Avaada Energy have secured contracts in MSEDCL’s 500 MW wind-solar hybrid power auction.
JSW and Juniper Green each won 200 MW and 75 MW, respectively, at ₹3.60/kWh. BrightNight acquired 76 MW at ₹3.62/kWh, while Avaada secured 75 MW at ₹3.69/kWh. The tender, initiated in March 2024, requires hybrid projects to include at least 33% capacity from both wind and solar sources.
The auction reflects MSEDCL's aggressive tendering, leading the market with 7.4 GW in Q1 2024.
