KPI Green Energy has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for the development of 150 MW of grid-connected wind power projects in Gujarat.
The company will execute a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with GUVNL upon securing necessary approvals from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC). The LoI was awarded following KPI Green Energy’s successful participation in GUVNL’s competitive bidding process under the scheme titled “Procurement of Power Through Competitive Bidding – RfS No. GUVNL/250 MW/Wind (Phase IX)”, issued on 18 January 2025. The final allocation was made through a reverse e-auction held on 22 April 2025.
The tender was launched for 250 MW of wind power capacity, with a Greenshoe option for an additional 250 MW. KPI Green Energy secured 150 MW under this program.
This win underscores KPI Green Energy’s expanding footprint in India’s renewable energy sector and aligns with national goals of accelerating clean energy adoption and strengthening sustainable power infrastructure.
