ABD Just Got Bigger: ₹115 Crore PET Plant is Go in Rangapur

Allied Blenders and Distillers (ABD), one of India’s leading IMFL manufacturers, has inaugurated a ₹115 crore PET bottle manufacturing plant at its integrated facility in Rangapur, approximately 160 km from Hyderabad.

With an annual production capacity of 600 million bottles, the new facility is designed to significantly reduce ABD’s reliance on external suppliers and improve supply chain efficiency. Of the total output, around 480 million bottles will be utilized within the Rangapur facility itself.

The project is part of ABD’s broader ₹527 crore capital expenditure plan for FY25–FY27. Other key initiatives under this plan include the development of a new single malt distillery at Rangapur and a major capacity expansion at its recently acquired ENA distillery in Maharashtra—from 11 million litres to 60 million litres annually.

Acquired in 2017, the Rangapur campus now houses an ENA distillery, an IMFL bottling unit, and the new PET bottle plant, with additional land available for future growth. ABD currently operates two facilities in Telangana and owns a total of nine manufacturing plants across India, in addition to production through 26 third-party units.
