Navi Mumbai’s Mahape is set to host India’s first Jewellery Park, a flagship initiative by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) supported by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). Spanning 21.3 acres with a total built-up area of roughly 65.61 lakh square feet, the park is projected to attract ₹50,000 crore in investments and generate 1,00,000 direct and indirect jobs upon its phased completion by late 2028. The modern facility will feature designated blocks for large and medium manufacturing units alongside commercial spaces. With statutory approvals and bank funding already secured, over 70 companies have already signaled interest in investing. The park is expected to enhance India’s manufacturing capabilities, empower MSMEs, elevate domestic jewellery brands, and boost global market competitiveness.
