IGGL: Gas Reaches Numaligarh, NEGG Era Begins.

Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) has commenced natural gas supply to Numaligarh Refinery (NRL) via the Guwahati–Numaligarh Pipeline, marking the historic launch of the Northeast Gas Grid (NEGG).

This milestone represents the first commercial flow of natural gas through IGGL’s pipeline network, advancing the Government of India’s vision of "One Nation, One Gas Grid." NEGG, a flagship initiative, aims to integrate the Northeast region with the National Gas Grid, ensuring sustainable and reliable energy access. The Guwahati–Numaligarh pipeline, a key engineering achievement, traverses challenging terrains and plays a crucial role in delivering clean energy to remote areas.

The successful commissioning paves the way for completing Phase I of the 554 km pipeline and future expansions, including connections to industrial hubs and city gas distribution networks. IGGL is a joint venture of five major public sector enterprises.
