GM Sugars &Energy Plans Captive Power & Distillery in Karnataka

GM Sugars and Energy Limited plans a captive power and distillery plant at Chatnahalli, Haveri, Karnataka.

We need further information regarding a 50 MW captive power plant's sugar production and operational circumstances.
A 50 MW captive power plant would generate 100,000 tons of sugar annually. This assumes the plant uses biomass fuel, has 30% efficiency, and operates for 8,000 hours per year.

At 120 KLPD, the 350-crore project will be capable.

GM Sugars And Energy Limited has purchased 200 acres for the distillery and captive power plant.

Sugar production by a 120 KLPD distillery facility depends on molasses type and plant efficiency. A 120 KLPD distillery facility typically produces 1,200 tons of sugar per day.

As on November 2023, The project is currently in the stage of being approved currently awaiting approval from the government.
