AXISCADES Wins Major Su-30MKI Radar Contract

AXISCADES Technologies, through its subsidiary Mistral Solutions, has secured a key defence order from premier Indian defence laboratories for work across airborne, naval, and radar-based platforms. The contract has been awarded by the Electronics & Radar Development Establishment (LRDE), a leading lab under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence.

The project involves the design and development of the Exciter and Receiver unit for the Virupaksh Radar, which is part of the upgrade programme for the Indian Air Force’s Su-30MKI fighter aircraft.

The initial order focuses on prototype development, with a design and engineering timeline of approximately 18 months. Upon successful completion and validation, a production order for 84 radar upgrade units will follow. The development phase is valued at around ₹4 crore (excluding GST), while the full-scale production contract is estimated to be worth approximately ₹120 crore. The production phase is expected to span three to five years.

This project reinforces AXISCADES' role in advancing indigenous defence capabilities and supports India's broader objective of self-reliance in strategic aerospace technologies.
