The Department of Municipal Affairs, West Bengal, has announced a tender for the design and construction of a new RCC elevated overhead reservoir (OHR) at Baduria Municipality. This project aims to enhance the region’s water supply infrastructure under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme.
The tender outlines the scope of work, which includes designing the sub-structure and OHR with a capacity of 650 cubic meters and a staging height of 20 meters. The project will use pile foundations and incorporate essential components such as pipe connections for headworks, a guard room, land development, approach roads, boundary walls, internal electrification, and yard lighting.
Additionally, the project involves laying distribution pipelines using various materials, including DI pipes, HDPE, and MS pipes. The comprehensive nature of the work ensures the proposed Water Supply Scheme is implemented efficiently and effectively.
Interested bidders have until October 2, 2024, to submit their proposals. This tender is a significant step towards improving water infrastructure in the area, reflecting the government's commitment to enhancing municipal services.
