BMW Industries is expanding its operations by setting up a manufacturing plant in Bokaro, Jharkhand, to enhance its downstream steel processing capabilities and cater to growing market demand. The project, estimated at ₹803.47 crore, will be financed through internal accruals and debt.
The facility will house a downstream steel complex with an annual production capacity of:
- 3,00,000 TPA of cold rolled full hard coil/sheet
- 5,40,000 TPA of galvanized coil/sheet
- 2,00,000 TPA of color-coated coils/sheets
The company already owns the required industrial land for this greenfield project, which will be developed in phases over two years. The first plant is expected to commence commercial operations in FY26.
Strategically located 300 km from Haldia/Kolkata port, the facility will have seamless access to global markets while ensuring a stable supply chain due to its proximity to raw material sources. The project has received approval from the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board to move forward with the establishment.
