Sanwaria Polymer Industries Plans Formaldehyde in Haryana

Sanwaria Polymer Industries Private Limited is planning to set up a formaldehyde manufacturing unit at Manakpur, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana. The project is estimated to cost 153 crore and will have a capacity of 80 metric tonnes per day (MTPD). Formaldehyde is a vital raw material in the production of a wide range of products, including resins, plastics, and pharmaceuticals.

Formaldehyde is produced through the catalytic oxidation of methanol. The process is carried out in a reactor, where methanol is vaporized and mixed with air. The mixture is then passed over a catalyst, which causes the methanol to oxidize to formaldehyde. The formaldehyde is then condensed and collected.

The Sanwaria Polymer Industries formaldehyde manufacturing unit will be one of the largest in India. The unit will use state-of-the-art technology to produce high-quality formaldehyde. The unit will also be designed to be environmentally friendly.

As on November 2023,The project is currently on hold. Because of the state of the market. All necessary approvals from the government were obtained for the project.
