Shree Ram Iron & Steel planning to set up Steel Plant Project at Chhattisgarh

Shree Ram Iron and Steel Private Limited (Unit II) is planning an expansion of their steel plant at Kharsa No. 439/84 and 439/85 at Village Urla, District- Raipur C.G. The company has already acquired 0.525 ha of land for the proposed expansion. 

The salient features of the project are as follows: Project Name: Shree Ram Iron and Steel Pvt. Ltd. (Unit II) Total Area: 0.525 ha Location of Project: Kharsa No. 439/84 and 439/85 at Village Urla, District- Raipur C.G. Production Capacity Existing Production: Induction Furnace - 30,000 TPA Proposed Production: Induction Furnace (Billets Production) -29500 TPA Rolling Mills (without Reheating) - 29000 TPA Raw Material: Billets, Sponge Iron, Alloys and Pig iron Water Demand: Total Water Quantityb 28 KLD Sources of Water: Ground Water Man Power: Proposed- 60 Nos Electricity Consumption: Total - 8 MW The project is expected to create employment opportunities for about 60 people. 

The company has applied for environmental clearance for the project. The Project Cost is 10 Crores. The expansion of the steel plant is a positive development for the region. It will help to boost the local economy and create jobs. It will also help to meet the growing demand for steel in the country.

As of September 2023, The project is currently in the stage of being approved currently awaiting approval from the government.
