Taiwan's Bestec to Invest Rs 200-Crore in Karnataka Facility

Taiwan’s Bestec Group is set to invest Rs 200 crore in establishing a new manufacturing facility near Bengaluru, Karnataka. This strategic move aims to bolster local production of adapters, chargers, and cables, with an expected annual turnover of Rs 2,500 crore.

The ambitious project is anticipated to create up to 5,000 jobs over the next three years. The investment will be rolled out in phases, reflecting the company's commitment to expanding its operations in India.

State Industries Minister MB Patil, who met with Bestec Group Chairman Mike Chen and Vice Chairman Teresa Dong on August 20, 2024, assured the company of comprehensive government support to ensure the project's success.

Bestec’s new facility will play a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for electronic components, further integrating the company into the global supply chain. The planned investment highlights Karnataka’s appeal as a key destination for international manufacturing ventures.
