Tata Motors has partnered with Delta Electronics India and Thunderplus Solutions to boost charging infrastructure for its electric commercial vehicles (CVs). This collaboration will see the installation of 250 new fast-charging stations across more than 50 cities, including key hubs like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
These new stations will complement Tata Motors' existing network of 540 commercial vehicle charging points, significantly enhancing the charging options available for electric CVs. Tata Motors will identify strategic locations and dealerships for the stations, with Delta Electronics supplying the hardware and Thunderplus Solutions handling installation and operations.
The expansion is driven by the increasing use of commercial EVs by e-commerce and parcel services, highlighting the growing demand for reliable charging infrastructure.
Vinay Pathak, Vice President at Tata Motors, noted that this initiative will encourage more businesses to adopt electric CVs, improving vehicle uptime and contributing to environmental sustainability. Tata Motors continues to support its Ace EV model through a network of over 150 service centers nationwide.
