ZETWERK, a prominent player in contract manufacturing, has received approval from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) for its 60kW and 120kW DC fast chargers. These chargers are slated for deployment across India, with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and various private charge point operators as key recipients.
Earlier this year, ZETWERK won a significant contract with IOCL to supply over 1,400 EV fast chargers, ranging from 50kW to 120kW. These chargers, equipped with advanced DC Dual Gun CCS2 technology, are expected to greatly enhance India's fast-charging infrastructure, addressing a critical barrier to the broader adoption of electric vehicles.
Srinath Ramakkrushnan, Co-founder and COO of ZETWERK, emphasized the importance of this certification. "Securing ARAI approval is a significant milestone that reinforces our commitment to quality, safety, and reliability. It also aligns with the 'Make in India' initiative, solidifying our role in advancing EV adoption through premium, domestically produced chargers," he stated.
In addition to its current offerings, ZETWERK is heavily investing in research and development to expand its charger portfolio. The company plans to introduce Super DC Chargers with capacities of 240kW and 360kW, aiming to reduce charging times at commercial and public EV charging stations.
With these advancements, ZETWERK is positioning itself as a key player in India's rapidly evolving electric vehicle ecosystem, supporting the nation's transition to a more sustainable and efficient transportation future.
