On 17 November 2025, Telangana Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to completing all pending irrigation projects, including 17 lift irrigation schemes in the Nalgonda district, to ensure water reaches tail-end regions.
During a public address, he noted that ₹74 crore has been allocated for the construction of a four-lane road in Miryalaguda. The government has also approved significant funding for irrigation works, including ₹57 crore for lining the Nagarjunasagar Project canal.
“We will complete all pending irrigation projects, including lift irrigation schemes, to provide water to cultivable lands,” Minister Uttam stated. He further announced additional funds for road development and sewage infrastructure across the region.
