Agilent's New Hyderabad Centre: A Game-Changer for Indian Pharma

Agilent Technologies, a global leader in life sciences, diagnostics, and applied chemical markets, has launched its state-of-the-art Biopharma Experience Centre in Hyderabad, reinforcing India’s growing prominence in pharmaceutical research and innovation.

The newly inaugurated facility offers comprehensive solutions across chromatography, mass spectrometry, cell analysis, and lab informatics. It is designed to simulate real-time laboratory environments, supporting critical activities such as drug discovery, development, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Inaugurating the centre, Telangana Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu noted, “This centre strengthens Telangana’s global standing in life sciences. With over 230 US FDA-approved sites, eight of the world’s top ten pharma companies, and 40% of India’s bulk drug exports, Hyderabad is well-positioned as a leader in pharmaceutical innovation.”

Agilent’s President and CEO, Padraig McDonnell, described India as a “strategic growth market,” adding that the Hyderabad facility is part of the company’s broader 3–5 year expansion roadmap in the region.

The Experience Centre benefits from Hyderabad’s advanced infrastructure, skilled talent pool, and supportive policy ecosystem, and is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing biologics, biosimilars, and precision medicine for global markets.
